City tour for international students

International students of Lobachevsky University became participants of the Student Track within the framework of the "Look at Nizhny" project at the beginning of February. This project is implemented by the Nizhny Novgorod Tourism Authority in order to promote the brand of our city as an international tourist and educational centre, as well as a city that offers comfortable living conditions for international students. The Student Track provides a cycle of sightseeing bus tours exploring the historical and tourist sites of Nizhny Novgorod. On 5 February more than 50 UNN students from Serbia, Iraq, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Chad, Thailand, Egypt, Congo, Italy, China, Mexico and Turkmenistan had a sightseeing tour around the city, took a walk along the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin wall and visited the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium at Strelka.

The highlight of the tour was an ice show and an Oriental New Year celebration, organised especially for our students at the main ice rink in Switzerland Park. The students even managed to send a collective video greeting to athletes from different countries competing at the Winter Olympics in Beijing!
