Committee on Education and Science of the Russian-Turkish Public Forum meets at Ankara University

UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Bedny took part in the meeting of the Committee on Education and Science of the Russian-Turkish Public Forum (RTPF) held at Ankara University on February 7, 2019. Taking part in the meeting were heads of Russian and Turkish universities, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov, Adviser to the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Vitaly Solonetsky, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Turkey Enver Sheikhov, Advisor to the President of the Turkish Republic on Educational Affairs Ismail Safi, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Education Council of Turkey, Prof. Rahmi Er, and representatives of the Russian Embassy in Turkey. The meeting was chaired by the Co-Chair of the RTPF Ahmet Berat Çonkar and the Co-Chairs of the Committee for Education and Science of the RTPF, Acting Rector of the Southern Federal University Professor Inna Shevchenko and Rector of the Ankara University Professor Erkan İbiş.

Alexander Bedny delivered a presentation about Lobachevsky University, its international activities and internationalization, as well as the development of UNN’s cooperation with universities in Turkey. Dr. Bedny held talks with the leaders of Turkish universities on the development of cooperation in the fields of science and education, including the organization of student and faculty exchanges, joint participation in international projects and programs, and interaction in the teaching of Russian and Turkish languages. During the event, a cooperation agreement between Lobachevsky University and Ankara University was signed.
