Cooperation with Belarusian universities
Lobachevsky University has signed two agreements - on cooperation and academic exchange - with the Polessky State University (Pinsk, Republic of Belarus). The agreements create opportunities for cooperation between universities in the field of science and education, joint educational programs, joint research, organization of scientific conferences, seminars and cultural events, and allow for two-way academic mobility of both students and teaching staff.
UNN students will be able to study at the Polessky State University at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels in the framework of exchange programs, while Belarusian students will have similar opportunities for studying at Lobachevsky University.
The Polessky State University was founded in 2006; today it is a modern higher education institution contributing to creation of an innovative educational, scientific and cultural centre in the Brest region of Belarus. The university provides training in the fields of banking, economics, biotechnology and organization of healthy lifestyle. It has provided the basis for an innovative industrial cluster in the sphere of biotechnologies and "green economy" for developing scientific, technical, innovative and entrepreneurial activities aimed at the sustainable growth of the new economy in Belarus. The university is ranked 15th among Belarusian universities.
