Dean of the Rennes 1 University visits UNN

Professor Eric Avenel, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the Rennes 1 University (France), visited the UNN Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship and the Faculty for International Students in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two universities. Eric Avenel met with the Director of the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship (IEE), Professor A.O. Grudzinskiy to discuss the possibilities for developing joint degree programs in the field of economic sciences. As a result of the talks, a distance learning agreement was concluded between UNN and the Rennes 1 University. Under this agreement, Professor Avenel will provide specific scientific advice and serve as research supervisor for IEE students and postgraduates. Dr. Avenel also took part in the scientific seminar "Application of the theory of non-cooperative games in the economy" organized by the IEE Department of mathematical modeling of economic processes.

During his two-day visit to Lobachevsky University,  Prof. Avenel also met with the leadership of the UNN Faculty for International Students: A.B. Bedny, E.V. Erushkina, K.V. Kemaev and with the Head of the UNN International Office I.S. Leonova. They discussed the development and deepening of the educational and scientific relations between the Faculty of Economics of the Rennes 1 University and the UNN Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship. The first results of the student exchange within the framework of the exchange agreement between the two universities were also summed up. Currently, five students from France are studying at the UNN Faculty for International Students and two students of the UNN Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship are at the University of Rennes 1 on a semester-long study visit.
