The Faculty of Law of Lobachevsky University received a delegation from Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL). The delegation included Sherzod Zhuraev, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law, and Minavvarkhon Yunusova, Professor of the Department of General Educational Disciplines and Culture.

TSUL faculty members had an international internship at the UNN Faculty of Law under the Agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science between Lobachevsky University and Tashkent State University of Law concluded in March 2021. During the internship, professors from Tashkent met with students of the UNN Faculty of Law and delivered a series of lectures and practical classes. Sherzod Zhuraev presented a course on "Administrative Law and Administrative Proceedings", during which students learned about the history and current state of administrative law in the Republic of Uzbekistan, made a comparative analysis of individual institutions of administrative law in Uzbekistan and Russia, discussed current issues of administrative law and court proceedings.

Professor Yunusova told the students about the role of information technologies in legal practice and analyzed the functioning of digital systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan such as Lex.uz, Advice.uz, yurxizmat.uz, my.gov.uz, my.sud.uz, etc. She also discussed with the students the use of digital systems in education, application of these systems in research work, the difference between soft skills and hard skills. Separately, Minavvarkhon Yunusova focused on the analysis of implementation of interactive e-government services: G2G, G2B, G2C and G2F. The main audience included students of the joint (network) UNN-TSUL bachelor's programme in international law.

The colleagues from Tashkent also had working meetings with Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, Konstantin Kemaev, Deputy Vice-Rector, Evgenia Chernykh, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Andrey Leonov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law. During these meetings the participants discussed the results of the implementation of the network bachelor’s programme between UNN and the TSUL, exchanged impressions on the students enrolled in the programme,  discussed further steps for developing academic cooperation.

The guests also took part in two international conferences hosted by the UNN Faculty of Law and  visited the Mayak Academy, where the Young Nizhny career forum organised by Lobachevsky University and the administration of Nizhny Novgorod was successfully held.

During their visit, professors from Tashkent State University of Law met with the staff of several departments of the UNN Faculty of Law and the Centre for European and Eurasian Legal Studies. At these meetings the colleagues discussed possibilities for cooperation in education and research activities in specific areas and it was agreed to pursue further academic exchanges between UNN and TSUL.

"It is very important that, after a long pause caused by the pandemic and other external factors, the Faculty of Law has resumed international academic exchanges at faculty and research staff level. In the course of the internship of our colleagues from TSUL and the valuable face-to-face communication, many future projects emerged, including joint research plans, guest lectures, further development of network education programmes," noted Evgenia Chernykh, Dean of the Faculty of Law.
