On September 22, a delegation of the Estonian Embassy visited Lobachevsky University. The delegation included: Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Estonia to Russia Arti Hilpus, Counsellor of Cultural Affairs Dimitri Mironov and First Secretary (Political Affairs) Tuuli P?rnsalu. The guests were welcomed by UNN Rector Evgeny Chuprunov, Director of the Institute of International Relations and World History Mikhail Rykhtik, Head of the International Office Irina Leonova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of History and Theory of International Relations, Head of the laboratory "Modeling of Social and Political Processes" Alexander Petukhov and Acting Deputy Head of the International Office Dmitry Kolesnikov.
During the meeting, Evgeny Chuprunov made a presentation for the guests about the University and its activities. Among other lines of UNN’s work, organization of double-degree programs with foreign universities, including the University of Tartu in Estonia, was mentioned. Arti Hilpus told UNN representatives about some potential areas for developing cooperation with Estonian universities in the field of science and education. In particular, the University of Tartu is interested in developing cooperation and exchange of students and professors in social sciences, and the Tallinn Technical University has shown interest in establishing scientific relations in the field of petrochemistry. Director of the Institute of International Relations and World History Mikhail Rykhtik told the guests about the work being carried out by UNN academics in the field of the humanities.
