Home - News RSS feed - Development strategy of Lobachevsky University approved by the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science

The meeting of the Expert Council was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in Moscow. The agenda of the session that was chaired by Deputy Minister Dmitry Afanasyev included the approval of development strategies for higher education institutions that provide training of engineering personnel and R&D for technological leadership.

UNN was included in the list of Russia’s 38 universities that train the most advanced engineering personnel.

The development strategy of Lobachevsky University was supported by 15 out of 16 Council members, with 1 abstaining. The strategy goals include: leadership in personnel training for priority areas of Russia's scientific and technological development, for knowledge-intensive industries, as well as leadership in the development and implementation of breakthrough R&D aimed at achieving the goals of national projects.

“I would like to thank our entire team, headed by Vice-Rector for International Affairs and External Communications Alexander Bedny, for their extensive and successful work to prepare the strategy  in the shortest possible time. We have set very ambitious tasks before us. Let's move forward!” - said Oleg Trofimov, Rector of Lobachevsky University.
