On September 18, a graduation ceremony for graduates of the Digital Departments project was held at the UNN Scientific Demonstration Hall. Yulia Bureeva, Dean of the Faculty for Professional Development and Retraining, and Maria Bogomolova, project manager at Lobachevsky University, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.

"Today, we can see how the project has become a growth point for our university and the entire country," said Maria Bogomolova, project manager at UNN. "In just three years, we have brought together thousands of students from different regions and helped them gain valuable digital skills and experience working on real projects. What is especially important is that students not only from the IT field are now actively participating in our programme, as digital transformation is essential for every field of training. I am confident that graduates of our program will be able to apply their skills in a wide range of industries and become drivers of change in their universities,  cities and companies."

Over the three years, the project has achieved impressive results. Between 2022 and 2024, a total of 5,357 students completed their studies. During this time, the number of participating universities has grown significantly, with students from 51 different institutions across Russia joining the programme in 2024. Together with industrial partners, 15 professional training programmes have been developed and highly appreciated by experts. A special emphasis has been placed on practical training, where students have worked on real-world MVP-level projects with the help of Lad IT Academy.

The achievements of the Digital Departments project have been recognized at the federal level. In 2024, Lobachevsky University took second place in the Higher Education category of the National Award for Urban Digitalization. The experience of the project has been presented at major international and all-Russian forums, including the "Russia" exhibition-forum in Moscow and the conference of the Ministry of Digital Economy at ITMO University in St. Petersburg.

It is planned to enroll 1,800 students in the new academic year, and the programme is aimed at students who are not majoring in IT. The training will involve working with industry cases, solving  problems of high priority for industrial partners, and completing project tasks. Registration is now open, and one can apply on the project's official website.
