"Discovery" for future students: research school held at Lobachevsky University
The research school "Discovery" was held at the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism. The event was designed to provide career guidance for school students in grades 8 to 11 and to introduce them to the Institute's educational programmes.
During the two-day event, school students delved into the university's academic atmosphere: they learned to use neural networks to create content for media and social networks; explored how a city could impact literary creativity using the example of the "Paris text". They also attended a lecture on the possibility of tragedy in epic form and took part in workshops on finding creative inspiration, learning Chinese, and conducting word formation analysis.
School participants were able not only to broaden their knowledge in philology and journalism but also to consider the prospects of studying at Lobachevsky University. At the end of the school, they had the chance to ask questions to the Institute's faculty and students and to learn about the admission requirements for specialised training programmes.
