Educational events for international students

Over 30 international students of Lobachevsky University took an active part in the cultural and educational life of the city and the region in July 2022. Their programme included a number of exhibitions and excursions which introduced the students to the history, traditions and distinctive features of Nizhny Novgorod and Russia on the whole at a more detailed level.

Thus, international students of the university visited the UNN Botanical Garden, where they could see rare and unique specimens of plants from all over Russia and many parts of the world. The garden’s collection has more than 3.5 thousand specimens.

Representatives of foreign countries also enjoyed the Russian paintings on display in the permanent exhibition of the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum.

"Excursion programs introducing international students to art, history and nature of our country have a positive impact on the process of their adaptation and integration.  The students can also learn more about Russia’s culture and traditions and the basic principles that underlie them," said Egor Kolesnikov of the International Students Support Office.
