Home - News RSS feed - "Eureka" at UNN: the university brings together young researchers from Nizhny Novgorod

Lobachevsky University hosted the 56th city conference of the student scientific society "Eureka", which was the regional stage of the All-Russian competition of research and project works  "Youth, science, culture". The event was held as part of the Mega-project "We are together" under the "Future of Russia" project line.

The conference aimed to improve the conditions for supporting and developing intellectually and creatively gifted school students through research activities. This year, the conference was held at nine Nizhny Novgorod universities, bringing together approximately 1,300 participants across 154 sections.  The participants’ works were evaluated by around 500 experts, including 125 teachers.

UNN became one of the key venues for the event. The conference was opened by Evgenia Chernykh, UNN Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Oksana Kolpakova, Deputy Director of the Nizhny Novgorod City Administration’s Education Department; and Galina Sorokoumova, Professor at the Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod and Chair of the "Eureka" student scientific society’s Board of Curators. They all emphasized the high significance of the event, highlighting its contribution to the development of young people’s scientific potential and wished the participants success in their research endeavours.

The event participants presented the results of their scientific research conducted under the supervision of scientists, university lecturers, and school teachers. The conference included an assessment of the quality of scientific papers and projects, as well as an exchange of experience and knowledge between participants, teachers and experts.
