First delegation from Bangladesh visits Lobachevsky University
On 19 April 2024, a delegation from the People's Republic of Bangladesh headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Kamrul Ahsan visited Lobachevsky University.
During the visit, the UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov discussed with the Ambassador the prospects of cooperation in the field of science and education. As the Rector noted, Lobachevsky University has been developing cooperation with the Republic of Bangladesh since 2019. Three students from this country are currently studying at Lobachevsky University - they have chosen the "General Medicine" specialisation at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, and there are ample prospects for expanding cooperation.
"Medicine, engineering, IT and business education - these are the most sought-after fields among the young people of Bangladesh. All these are available at our university. and in each of these areas we are one of the leaders in Russia. Therefore, we are certainly interested in expanding partnerships and attracting new students. I hope that today's meeting and the visit of our colleagues to our laboratories will help in creating a new space for common growth and prosperity of our nations," Oleg Trofimov emphasised.
The guests also visited the laboratories of the UNN Centre for Innovative Development of Medical Instrumentation, they were introduced to the advanced research and development of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine, research and education activities of the Institute of Clinical Medicine, and medical projects of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
