First Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kyrgyz Universities

On March 27, the First Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kyrgyz Universities "Development of Science and Education - Investing in the Future" was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The forum was held during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov greeted the participants and opened the event. The Russian delegation at the Forum was headed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Mikhail Kotyukov.

Academician Viktor Sadovnichy, Rector of the Moscow State University, President of the Russian Union of Rectors, gave a report on behalf of the Russian delegation.

Within the framework of the Forum, 72 agreements between Russian and Kyrgyz universities were signed, and prospects for the joint development of science and innovations were outlined.

Lobachevsky University was represented by Olga Petrova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. UNN has concluded agreements on cooperation with the Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, Osh State University and Kyrgyz State Academy of Law.
