First stage of Lobachevsky/RU International Olympiad concluded

The first stage of the Lobachevsky/RU Olympiad has concluded at Lobachevsky University. The competition is held annually in an online format.

This year, 1,140 foreign citizens registered as participants, including those studying at educational institutions abroad and in Russian universities. The Lobachevsky/RU Olympiad brought together contestants from different continents, with representatives from 90 countries participating in the first stage. The top 10 countries by the number of participants were Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China, Egypt, Turkey, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Angola.

A total of 153 participants qualified for the second stage of the Olympiad that will be held on March 13. Participants will have an interview with the jury members.
