First stage of Lobachevsky/RU Olympiad concludes at UNN

The first stage of the Lobachevsky/RU International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language has been finalised at Lobachevsky University.

This year, 1,775 foreign citizens studying both in foreign educational institutions and Russian universities were registered as participants of the Olympiad that has been held annually since 2018.

The Lobachevsky/RU Olympiad brought together participants from different continents of the world: representatives from 94 countries took part in the first stage. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Iran, Egypt, China, Nigeria and Mexico were among the top 10 countries in terms of the number of participants.

The list of participants who have advanced to the second stage will be published on the Olympiad website by 11 March 2024.
