First steps towards science: school students from Ivanovo region visit UNN
Lobachevsky University keeps implementing initiatives within its popular science tourism development programme. The goal of the project is to attract the attention of the general public to the achievements of Russian science and promote scientific knowledge among school and university students.
As part of the programme, pupils from school No. 4 in Rodniki, Ivanovo region, visited UNN. They attended the “Metal Dictatorship“ exhibition, which showcases the history of metallurgy and modern metalworking techniques. The exposition sparked great interest among the students: many saw unique exhibits for the first time and learned a lot about the evolution of industrial technologies.
The young students also toured several research laboratories of the UNNPhysics Faculty. There, they were introduced to modern research methods used by Lobachevsky University scientists and learned more about the opportunities and prospects of a career in science. Such events help young people make an informed decision about their future profession and contribute to their continued interest in science and innovation.
