The first Russian textbook "Regenerative Medicine" was recently published by GEOTAR-Media publishing house. The editors of the manual are the Rector of the Sechenov Medical University Petr Glybochko and the Rector of Lobachevsky University Elena Zagaynova. The book summarizes the experience of Russian and foreign research teams, including the leading universities of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.

"Achievements in regenerative medicine have already revolutionized traumatology and cosmetology, but even specialists are just beginning to realize the wide horizon of possibilities offered by regeneration," said Elena Zagaynova, UNN Rector.

This textbook forms part of the instructional complex on regenerative medicine, which also includes a practicum and a guide for the practical training. The publication is intended for students and teachers of biological and medical specialties of universities, as well as specialists in related fields.

It includes five sections: "Cells and Fundamentals of Tissue Formation"; "Biomaterials"; "Tissue Engineering"; "Methods of Analysis in Regenerative Medicine"; "Possibilities of Regenerative Medicine for Solving Clinical Problems".
