From formulas to discoveries: UNN to host Physics Day
Lobachevsky University invites you to take part in the All–Russian Physics Day on September 21. It is a large-scale scientific and educational event for students, schoolchildren, parents, teachers and all those who are fond of science.
The All-Russian Physics Day will be held on September 21 in various cities across Russia, with the support of the country's leading technical universities. The event will bring together 15,000 school students, their parents, and teachers of physics and related subjects. In Nizhny Novgorod, its venue will be at Lobachevsky University.
Physics Day is the largest educational event in the field of exact sciences. It is a federal project that aims to attract applicants to specialised universities and to introduce those who are yet to choose their path in the world of science and technology to engineering professions.
As part of the event at Lobachevsky University, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Hear popular science lectures from leading professors and researchers from the UNN Physics Faculty on some of the most fascinating natural phenomena, as well as modern technologies and the future of physics in the 21st century.
- Take part in intellectual games and interactive workshops, where one can not only observe but also experiment for themselves – from creating simple mechanisms to studying quantum effects in practice;
- Take a guided tour of the unique exhibitions at the UNN Museum, including "Sun Observers" and "Dictatorship of Metal", where science meets art and technology becomes aesthetics.
Details about the event and a link to register can be found on our website.
