From megascience to artificial intelligence: The "Science of the Future - Science of the Youth" Forum starts at UNN

On September 22-25, Lobachevsky University will host the 11th All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum "Science of the Future - Science of the Youth". For four days, Nizhny Novgorod will serve as a venue to discuss the nation's key scientific and technological challenges — from exploring the structure of matter and developing megascience facilities to quantum technologies, AI, climate change, and innovative approaches to the treatment of diseases.

The event will bring together top Russian and international scientists – winners of the mega-grant programme of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, leaders of global scientific schools, government and business representatives, young researchers, and tech entrepreneurs. The participants will include finalists of the All-Russian Competition for Research Papers by Students and Postgraduates, as well as of the "Mediacode" contest for young media professionals.

The Forum features an Intensive scientific and educational programme across diverse fields of science in the format of lectures, workshops, and seminars.

The key event of the Forum will be the finals of the 11th All-Russian Competition for Research Papers among Students and Postgraduates. The competition has received 3,400 applications from 537 Russian educational and research institutions. Over 300 finalists will attend the Forum to present their projects to the world's leading scientists. Additionally, the All-Russian "Mediacode" contest will be held during the Forum, focusing on advancing science journalism and innovative formats for popularising science.

The Forum was initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Directorate of the Forum is the consulting company "Inconsult", the operator of state programmes aimed at developing science and technology.
