Global recognition: UNN retains positions in international rankings
The annual global rankings of the world's top universities, QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, have been released. This year, the QS World University Rankings assessed 8,467 educational institutions worldwide. Despite the growing number of universities included in the analysis, Lobachevsky University has retained its standing, placing within the 1001–1200 range among the world’s leading academic institutions.
Among the nine key indicators used to evaluate universities, UNN particularly excelled in categories such as "Academic Reputation" and "Employer Prestige." In these areas, the university ranks among the top 701–800 globally. Its high level of international engagement is further evidenced by its performance in the "Proportion of International Students" category, where UNN secured the 487th position worldwide. This underscores the university’s increasing appeal to students from other countries. This year’s QS ranking includes only the top 40 Russian universities.
Additionally, Lobachevsky University reaffirmed its position within the 1001–1500 bracket in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. In this assessment, UNN improved its score in the "Decent Work and Economic Growth" indicator, placing it among the top 600 universities globally.
Previously, UNN was recognised as one of the best universities in Russia and the world based on annual studies conducted by the RAEX Rating Agency and the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR).
