Golden racket: Lobachevsky University student wins two medals at All-Russian badminton tournament

The All-Russian badminton competition in memory of S. V. Prikazchikov was held in Ufa (the Republic of Bashkortostan). Maria Golubeva, a student at the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, and a Master of Sports, won the gold medal in women's singles. Together with her younger sister, Anastasia Golubeva, she also won a gold medal in women's doubles. They defeated the pair Galina Mezentseva and Ekaterina Tyutikova with a score of 15-21, 21-13, and 21-18 in the finals.

The next competition where Maria Golubeva will take part will be the 2nd stage of the Russian National Badminton Federation Cup among club teams for the 2025 season, which will take place in Saratov. The team from Nizhny Novgorod includes two more students from the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Mikhail Chaikin and Alexander Guryanov.
