Hockey is the game for real men!

Lobachevsky University ice hockey team has won the Minin and Pozharsky Cup of the Nizhny Novgorod top league championship in the 2019/2020 season.

 «Hockey is the game for real men» is a line from a popular song quoted by Natalia Ustyukhova, senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Sports Training of the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. She continues:

«We are happy that exactly such real athletes represent our university. Rigorous training, regimen and their will-to-win spirit were the key to the successful performance of our hockey players».

Incidentally, Natalia Ustyukhova was presented a Letter of commendation from the Nizhny Novgorod Hockey Federation for her contribution to the development of the UNN hockey team and student hockey in the city as a whole. One can justly assume that her support was an invaluable contribution to the UNN team’s victory. Dmitry Kulyabov, the coach of the sports club of the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, also played an important role and was named the best coach of the city championship.
