Honored Professor of the UNN Oleg Kolobov celebrates his 70th anniversary

On June 26, the Academic Council of the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History held its meeting dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Honored Professor of the UNN Oleg Kolobov. The meeting was opened by the UNN Rector E.V. Chuprunov, who offered his congratulations to Prof. Kolobov, then the President of Lobachevsky University, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod region R.G. Strongin read out a congratulatory address on behalf of the Secretary of the Public Chamber V.A. Fadeev. Meeting participants were also presented a video clip about Prof. Kolobov prepared by the Media Center of the UNN, after which the hero of the day made a report on the topic "International Relations at the Nizhny Novgorod State University: pages of success"

Field of scientific interests: history of international relations; foreign policy of Russia, the United States, European countries, Israel, Arab countries; conflictology; diplomacy; comparative political science; theory of politics; theory of international relations; global problems of our time; cratology; religious studies; geopolitics; political geography; international security. Founder and head of the scientific school of American studies and comparative analysis of regional areas of the great powers’ foreign policy in the new and modern times.
