IITMM representatives take part in the international conference
A delegation of UNN’s Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics (IITMM) took part in the international conference "Russian Supercomputing Days" which was held on September 23-24, 2019 in Moscow. This conference is the largest international HPC event in Russia and one of Europe's largest events on supercomputing topics. In total, the conference gathered 450 participants from 50 cities in the world, including representatives of 42 universities, 23 institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 61 industrial companies. Its scientific program included 21 plenary lectures, 72 section talks and 19 poster presentations.
Lobachevsky University’s participation in the conference was quite impressive - it was represented by 15 researchers, experts and students of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics. They gave 6 section talks and made 4 poster presentations. IITMM representatives spoke about the latest achievements of the Institute’s research groups in the development of supercomputer software for solving problems of laser physics, quantum mechanics and global optimization. Conference participants noted the high scientific level of Lobachevsky University researchers’ talks. The report by V.D. Kustikova, N.Yu. Zolotykh and M.S. Zhiltsova "Educational course "Introduction to deep learning using Intel neon Framework" was recognized as the best one on the topic of education in the field of supercomputing technology and was awarded a conference diploma.
