Impact of digital transformations on urban life quality
On March 11, the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History held a panel meeting in the format of a round table on the topic “The Impact of Digital Transformations on Security, Business Practices and Quality of Urban Life”. Foreign and Russian experts discussed the role of information and communication technologies in the lives of modern citizens and analyzed ideas about the future digital picture of the city. The purpose of the group’s work is to evaluate digital initiatives that can affect the quality and safety of people's lives.
The expert group that has adopted an interdisciplinary approach to the problems under consideration included political scientists, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers and religion researchers from Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. The author of the “Internet of Things” concept, Robbert van Kranenburg (Amsterdam), served as an invited expert. The panel meeting was organized by the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (Moscow), the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History and the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Information Center.
