Intel-UNN Computer Vision Summer School starts at Lobachevsky University

The School will be held from July 5 to July 23 within the framework of long-term cooperation between Lobachevsky University and Intel. The School will bring together more than a hundred students from Lobachevsky University, Higher School of Economics, Alekseev Technical University, as well as experts from Intel IOTG division and professors from Lobachevsky University. Students will have a unique opportunity to enhance their skills in promising areas of modern information technology: computer vision, deep learning, cognitive technologies. They will also work with advanced software packages - Intel® OpenVINO™ and OpenCV.

"Holding our Summer School will definitely contribute to raising the professional level of IT experts in Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region. The school combines the transfer of practical experience of Intel engineers and academic experience of our teachers in the field of computer vision, and features the project-based approach - traditional teaching (lectures and tutorials) and project work. Students will learn how large companies organize project work on software development under the supervision of project supervisors - Intel engineers," commented the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.

After the end of the School sessions on July 23, all Summer School materials will be openly available on GitHub.
