International Club of Students holds a New Year's concert at UNN
On December 24, the students of the UNN Centre for Educational Programmes for Foreigners held a New Year's concert in the University Assembly Hall. The event was organised with the support of the International Club of Students and the participants of the “I Сare - I Сan” programme. The evening was filled with music, dancing and colourful performances by representatives of different cultures and became an unforgettable present for all those attending this event.
The event was opened by students from Turkmenistan, who filled the hall with warmth and melody of their native motifs. Then students from Iraq performed before the audience with their heartfelt song that touched the hearts of all those present with its sincerity and depth. The performance of the Iranian students was both very lively and full of emotion.
The concert was enriched by the presentation of an Egyptian student, who very artistically performed his rap composition. Immediately afterwards, the audience was immersed in the atmosphere of the Latin American carnival. The national dance of students from Latin American countries became a real firework of passion and temperament, and the second number in their performance made the whole hall applaud to the rhythm of the dance.
A real highlight of the evening were the performances of a musical duo from Algeria and Iran, who presented a melodious winter tune. Then, a student from Indonesia impressed everyone with his sincere rendition of a popular song.
The final piece of the concert was a song performed by students from Turkey.
“The New Year's Eve party was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere. It gave a vivid demonstration of how multifaceted and interesting our planet is. Not only did the students present their concert numbers, but also showed that the university is a big and friendly family, where there is a place for representatives of different nationalities and cultures. We will keep in touch, we will share with each other joy and warm New Year emotions”, said Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the UNN Department for International Student Affairs.
