International conference on economic development opens at UNN

The International Research Conference "Sustainable Development of the National Economy in the Context of Global Challenges" started at Lobachevsky University. The eventthat takes place as part of the International scientific platform "Institutional Transformation of the Economy: Sovereignty, Technological Leadership, and Digitalization" brought together 250 scholars and researchers from across 22 Russian regions, along with delegates from 17 countries.

Renowned experts taking part in the conference shared their perspectives and practical insights on current economic development issues. The first plenary session addressed global challenges to the Russian economy and institutional dilemmas in economic policy under sanctions pressure. The second session focused on building competitive industries, spatial development factors, industrial resilience to external constraints at the regional level, and financial fragility dynamics. During the third plenary session, participants delved into institutions as economic goods, key issues in institutional economics, and the design of developmental economics.

The first day of the conference concluded with a series of roundtables. The event's programme will continue with a plenary session and twelve thematic sections.
