An international round table dedicated to the anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, "Constitutional Process in the Post-Soviet Space", was held in online format by Lobachevsky University and Turan University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) with the support of the UNN International Cooperation Office.

Taking part in the round table were lecturers from the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law (Lobachevsky University) and the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law (Turan University). Students from Uzbekistan studying at the UNN Faculty of Law on a joint educational programme also participated in the round table discussion.

The event was organised by Alexander Petrov, Head of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Alexander Gorylev, Associate Professor of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office, and Natalia Kiryushina, Associate Professor of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law.

Welcoming remarks to the participants of the round table were made by Evgenia Chernykh, Dean of the UNN Faculty of Law, and Leila Zhanuzakova, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Law at Turan University. The participants of the round table in their reports presented the peculiarities of the constitutional process in Russia and Kazakhstan, discussed the constitutional reforms carried out in both countries in recent years.  The similarity of problematic aspects in Russia and Kazakhstan arising in the process of implementation of constitutional norms was noted.

The round table participants expressed their confidence in the need for further cooperation in the field of research and education between Lobachevsky University and Turan University, and agreed to organise joint academic events in the future.
