International round table workshop on engineering education
Lobachevsky University hosted the international round table workshop “Engineering Education in the Age of Change: Hybrid Learning, Microqualifications and Partnership in BRICS+ Format”. The workshop was the final event of the project implemented with the support of the Potanin Foundation. The project leader is Alexander Gorylev, Associate Professor at the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Deputy Head of the UNN International Cooperation Department.
The round table workshop was held in a mixed face-to-face and online format. A total of 83 representatives from 10 universities of Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the event. Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and External Communications, made a welcoming speech. Experts from Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU) Artem Bezrukov, Yulia Ziyatdinova, Anna Sukhristina summed up the results of the professional development programme under the project. The project participants from Lobachevsky University presented their proposals to improve the educational process that were elaborated as part of the professional development programme.
Dmitry Permin, Associate Professor at the UNN Department of Inorganic Chemistry, spoke about the shaping of mechanisms for academic cooperation between Russia and the BRICS+ countries.
Overall, the workshop participants discussed not only the results of the project, but also the prospects for further inter-university cooperation in this area. At the end of the event, Yulia Ziyatdinova, Director of the KNRTU Institute of Further Professional Education, awarded certificates of advanced training to all 22 participants of the project.
