Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking of Lobachevsky University, had a meeting with a group of international students representing more than 15 countries. The participants summed up the activities of international student associations and discussed plans for the summer break and the new academic year.

The students also shared their views on how to make extracurricular and social activities for international students more interesting.  This would help to attract new participants to their ranks. They also underlined that a lot is being done at UNN to create a comfortable atmosphere for its students. The university takes an active role in supporting the councils of national associations of international students. The members of the student self-government in the dormitories also perform their work efficiently.

The Chairman of the International Student Club presented the plan for attracting first-year students to the Club and shared his ideas on the activities to be carried out in the new academic year.

Responding to questions from the participants, Alexander Bedny encouraged everyone to take an active part in the life of Lobachevsky University and to make suggestions for implementing ideas and projects, thereby improving their skills and fulfilling their personal potential.

"Direct dialogue between the student community and the University administration is an opportunity to improve the quality of the students' experience and an avenue for exchanging opinions and a critical perspective on certain events taking place," said Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking of Lobachevsky University.

At the end of the event, Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, and the students made plans for a new meeting. It was proposed to organise the meeting in the new Mir multifunctional area.

The Mir Project was initiated by a group of members of the student self-government of Dormitory No. 5. This project is based on the idea of creating a multifunctional area in the dormitory, where international students living in Dormitory No. 5 will be able to implement various integration, cultural and social activities.

The Mir Project was presented and approved in March 2023. Work is now underway in Dormitory No. 5 to renovate and prepare the area for the project.
