The exam session is not an excuse to miss out on outdoor activities.  International students of Lobachevsky University have proved it on their own example:  on Thursday, January 20, they had a tour to Gorodets, one of the most ancient cities of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

As the students remarked, such excursions are a unique experience: "It is an opportunity to get in touch with the culture of the country, which is our new home for several years. That is one of the delightful advantages of studying abroad."

In the course of their excursion programme, UNN international students had an opportunity to visit  museums dedicated to Russian academic art, history of the Nizhny Novgorod city and region, as well as exhibitions of folk crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. On this particular tour, the students visited the Gorodets Museum of Local Lore, the Gorodets on the Volga Museum, the Russian Samovar Museum, which boasts the largest collection of tea-making equipment in Russia, and Countess Panina’s House Museum, which faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the 19-th century.
