International students of Lobachevsky University present traditions and culture of their countries to Nizhny Novgorod residents

The Lobachevsky UniverSum International Students Festival will take place on May 5, 2022 at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair grounds. The event comes under the aegis of the XVII All-Russian Choir Festival Young Voices-2022.

An exhibition of national cultures will open at 14:00 on the grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Trade Fair. International students from Lobachevsky University will introduce the festival guests to the traditions of their countries by presenting folk costumes and numerous artifacts, national dances and music. Taking part in the Lobachevsky UniverSum will be representatives from Nigeria, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Morocco, Serbia, India, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, South Korea, Turkey and El Salvador.

The XVII All-Russian Choir Festival Young Voices-2022 will be held from May 5 to May 8 in Nizhny Novgorod. It will be attended by 17 youth choir groups from across Russia. The event is organised by Lobachevsky University and the Sheremetev Centre, an autonomous non-profit organisation for the development of culture and education, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod region.The programme and rules for visiting the festival locations can be found in the VKontakte festival group.
