International students of Lobachevsky University receive diplomas of higher education
On 11 August, a ceremony of awarding diplomas to international graduates of the Institute of International Relations and World History (IIRWH) was held at Lobachevsky University. The ceremony was attended by Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, Yulia Selivyorstova, Deputy Director of IIRWH, Konstantin Markov, Associate Professor at the IIRWH Department of Ancient World History and Classical Languages, and Tatiana Komarova, Associate Professor at the IIRWH Department of Oriental Languages and Linguocultural Studies.
"Dear graduates! Today you have an important day - you are receiving your diplomas of higher education. Some time ago you made a decision to come and study in Russia, at Lobachevsky University. And today you are already graduates - step by step you have gained new knowledge, skills and experience, made new friends. I am sure that you are at the beginning of your great journey. So I wish you success in your further development and career!", said Vice-Rector Alexander Bedny.
In a festive atmosphere, diplomas were awarded to 13 graduates of the bachelor's programme and 4 graduates of the master's programme in the area of study "International Relations". Four master's students and one bachelor were awarded degrees with honours and received their diplomas in red folders, the distinction reserved for the best students.
"Dear friends, I congratulate you on your graduation from Lobachevsky University. I am sure that no matter what comes in your life, you will never forget your years of study. Remember that you are always welcome within these walls! My congratulations!", said Associate Professor Konstantin Markov.
Abdulrahman Essam Mohamed Saber Ibrahim, a graduate of IIRWH, responded:
"Today is a wonderful day. I want to say to each of you - thank you for the years we spent at UNN. I have really never once regretted that I entered Lobachevsky University and studied there. Special thanks to our lecturers and professors, and to the International Students Support Office".
