International students of Lobachevsky University take part in the "Look at Nizhny" project

More than 50 international students of Lobachevsky University took part in the "Look at Nizhny" city tour project. The project is supported by the Nizhny Novgorod city administration.

Accompanied by a professional tour guide, the students visited significant places of Nizhny Novgorod and explored the history of this Russian city at the confluence of the Oka and Volga rivers. The Nizhny Novgorod Trade Fair, the Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and the exhibits of the Rukavishnikov Estate Museum were seen by the students in a new light, while some of them visited these places for the first time.

Despite the fact that the tour was very long it seemed to fly by like a blink of an eye, according to the participants. The students said that it was very interesting for them, and the knowledge they gained about the city and the history of Nizhny Novgorod made the city even closer to them. For a student from Ethiopia, this tour was a real gift, as he was celebrating his birthday that day!

At the end of the tour, participants warmly thanked the organisers and expressed the wish to have more events like this, which introduce them to the history and traditions of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
