International students receive UNN diplomas
International students of Lobachevsky University have received their diplomas of higher education. A festive ceremony was held at the UNN Assembly Hall where graduates from all faculties and institutes of the University gathered on Friday, July 15.
Elena Zagaynova, Rector of Lobachevsky University, Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and the university staff members attended the ceremony to congratulate the new graduates on this remarkable occasion.
"You have become real professionals and grown-up people. Now you have everything ahead of you and many different opportunities. I wish that everything you want in life, all your dreams come true, and that your expectations are fulfilled. I hope that some of you will stay in Russia and work with us. And those of you who go home will take with them the fondest memories of Russia. You will become the beacons of Russian culture, you will tell the people in your home countries what Russia is all about. In our turn, we will always keep in touch with you and will always be waiting for you to come back, just as parents wait for their beloved children," said Elena Zagaynova.
"You have come a long way - in more than one sense. Several years ago you decided to go to study abroad, to come to Russia, to Lobachevsky University. Together with us you have been through the educational process, labs, exams, lectures, etc. And now you have reached the end of this process - you are receiving a degree in higher education. I congratulate you and hope that many of you will continue your education here at Lobachevsky University," Alexander Bedny told the graduates.
"It wasn't easy, but it all worked out well. I got my diploma and I am now a programmer. I will continue my studies for a Master's degree. I want to continue my education and then stay to work in Russia," shared Alcino Vunge, a Bachelor programme graduate of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
