International students take part in Chkalov Fishing Fest - 2023

A delegation of UNN international students took part in the XIV International Festival of Ice Fishing "Chkalov Fishing Fest-2023".

International students from Brazil, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ecuador and other countries (altogether 20 participants from 14 countries) joined the event that is held every year on the Gorky Reservoir. The students tried their hand in the ice fishing competition, tasted traditional fish dishes and visited the Valery Chkalov museum.

Participation of international  students in the Chkalov Fishing Fest has become a good tradition. Our students enjoy taking part in such events. Fishing is not only fun and a great opportunity to meet new people, but also an excellent chance to learn more about the traditions and culture of Russia and the Nizhny Novgorod region! - said Abbud Hasan of the UNN International Students Support Office.
