International students take part in the XI International Festival of Cultures

International students of Lobachevsky University took part in the XI International Festival of Cultures "This Big World", which took place on December 11 and 12 at the Dobrolyubov Linguistic University. The festival program included round tables, an essay contest, a national fair, a photo exhibition, and a gala concert as the culmination of the event. Presentations of Lobachevsky University students during the round tables were highly appreciated by the festival jury which awarded the first place for the round table presentation on the topic “National Recipes of Happiness and Success” to Mohammad Naved Kabir from India, a student of the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History (IIRWH). Renteria Edgar Rodrigo Mandujano (Mexico), a student at the UNN Center for Educational Programs for Foreign Citizens (CEPFC), won first place for speaking on the topic “Keywords of Russian Culture”.
IIRWH student Khalil Ibrahim Pakir and CEPFC student Kerem Berk Erol (both from Turkey) won third place for their presentation at a round table on the topic “How to Raise Children? National Traditions”. The students of IIRWH Enrique Ricardo Garcia Herrera (Mexico) and Mateo Rojas Samper (Colombia) also took third place for speaking on the theme “Love and Beauty in National Culture”. In the essay contest, participants from Lobachevsky University were recognized among the best: Gu Jizi from China, (CEPFC) received a diploma of the first degree, Adriana Marcela Aviles Bonilla from El Salvador, (IIRWH) - a diploma of the second degree, Farrukhjon Tashtulatov from Tajikistan (CEPFC) - a diploma of the third degree. UNN students from China, Mexico and Mongolia introduced the festival guests to national dishes and national costumes, presented traditional dances and songs at the final concert. At the end of the festival, the whole team of Lobachevsky University was awarded certificates of honor, diplomas and souvenirs.
