International Summer School "Summer in Russian" starts at Lobachevsky University

On 8 July, the traditional international summer school "Summer in Russian" started at Lobachevsky University. The participants of the summer school include students from Serbia, China and Poland. The project has been implemented by the UNN Centre for Educational Programmes for International Students. In the coming three weeks, the students will study the subjects "Russian Language" and "Country Studies". They will be able to improve their Russian language skills, get acquainted with the life of Lobachevsky University and Nizhny Novgorod, and learn more about the history, culture and traditions of Russia in general.

Welcoming remarks to the participants of this year's summer school were made by Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking:

"We are very happy to see you at our university, we are glad that you have chosen Nizhny Novgorod to study and get acquainted with Russia. We hope you will enjoy your stay and find it comfortable and interesting. UNN has a great experience in holding such summer schools, our project has been running for about 10 years, and we try to create the best conditions for you to study the Russian language, Russian culture, international communication and to get new unforgettable impressions of your study period in Russia”.

At the first introductory meeting, the young people from the People's Republic of China told that they like Russian culture very much and they came to Nizhny Novgorod University to get a better understanding of the Russian language and hope to learn more about Russian traditional culture and the beautiful city of Nizhny Novgorod.
