On December 15, International Symposium "Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies: Fundamental and Applied Aspects of Development" was held in Moscow in the framework of the national exhibition-forum "VUZPROMEXPO-2016" with the support of the "Neuronet"  industry alliance.  The symposium was attended by some of the world's leading researchers in the field of neuroscience and neurotechnology, including Head of the Neuroscience Department of the Kurchatov Institute, RAS Corresponding Member, Professor K.V. Anokhin; RAS Corresponding Member, Professor at the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity RAS P.M. Balaban; Professor of Moscow State University A.Ya. Kaplan; Professor of the University of Plymouth (UK) and the Institute of Mathematical Problems of Biology RAS R.M. Borisyuk; Director of the UNN Institute of Neurosciences, RAS Corresponding Member, Professor A.V. Semyanov; UNN Vice-Rector for Research, Professor V.B. Kazantsev and some others.
Also, among the symposium participants were some representatives of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, innovative development centers and high-tech companies. The aim of the symposium was to exchange best practices between researchers from Russia and their foreign colleagues and to discuss the latest global trends in the field of biomedicine and neuroscience.
