Investments in education: UNN endowment fund wins the competition

The management fund of the endowment capital of Lobachevsky University became a winner in the  “Endowments: Growth Strategy” competition, part of the Effective Philanthropy charity programme by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.

“Out of 172 applications, only 20 were chosen, with just eight coming from organisations in the higher education sector. This recognition highlights the precise goal-setting and high potential of our endowment fund. Undoubtedly, this support strengthens our confidence that we are on the right path,“ noted Oleg Trofimov, Rector of Lobachevsky University.

The victory in the Potanin Foundation competition is a credit to the team of Lobachevsky University's endowment capital management fund, headed by Tatiana Lobova.

“Lobachevsky University has received support amounting to 25 million roubles over three years. Of this sum, 10 million will ultimately be added to one of the endowments. The remaining funds will be directed towards establishing an efficient organisational mechanism for the sustainable development of the UNN endowment fund, from strategy and documentation to fundraising structure and the culture of giving,“ said Tatiana Lobova, Advisor to the UNN Rectorate.
