Invincible: UNN basketball team advances to regional finals

The men's team from the UNN Institute of Economics, composed of students from the Secondary Vocational Education Department, demonstrated outstanding performance in the zonal basketball competitions.

The team remained undefeated throughout the group stage, securing their place in the playoffs.  In the intense final match, the athletes emerged victorious, outpacing their opponents by 8 points.

Evgeny Goncharov was named the tournament's best player.

This success earned the team a spot in the finals of the 2025–2026 regional sports contest!

The team extends their heartfelt gratitude to physical education instructors Maxim Smirnov and Alexander Polyakov, as well as the distinguished coach of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Sergey Poletaev, for their professional guidance, support, and faith in the young athletes.
