On November 29, 2018, a seminar was held in Brussels under the auspices of the European Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency for the winners of the 2018 Erasmus+ Jean Monnet grant competition - Jean Monnet Kick-off Meeting. The seminar under the title "Jean Monnet activities – An action to address challenges in contemporary Europe'' was attended by representatives from about 50 countries, including Australia, Japan, Russia, India, USA, France, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, etc. Lobachevsky University was represented by Irina Filipova, Associate Professor of the Civil Law Department of the UNN Faculty of Law who is charge of the project “European Labor Law: Protection of Human Rights” being implemented under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program at the UNN.

The Jean Monnet Kick-off meeting brought together the representatives from the projects selected under the call for Proposals (EAC/A05/2017), members of the Executive Agency's Jean Monnet team and colleagues from the European Commission. The Executive Agency's Jean Monnet team hosted information sessions for project participants, offering support and guidance on operational and financial aspects of their activities in order to facilitate the implementation of their projects.
