Joint summer school held by UNN and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law
The UNN Centre for Educational Programmes for Foreigners (CEPF) organised an international summer school for students of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (China). Programme Manager was Konstantin Kemaev, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, and Programme Administrator was Nailya Voytova, Head of the CEPF. From 19 June to 7 July, twenty-six Chinese students took a course of online lectures on Russian language, history, politics and law.
The summer school classes were conducted by lecturers of the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism, Faculty of Law, Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship Olga Lebedeva, Konstantin Kemaev, Alexander Gorylev, Marina Makarova and Arina Fedyushkina. They made a significant contribution to promoting Lobachevsky University at Shanghai University of Political Science and Law. Following their summer school experience, six Chinese students applied for academic mobility to Lobachevsky University in the autumn semester.
On the last day of the summer school, UNN lecturers and Chinese students exchanged their impressions regarding the quality of the classes and their relevance. The Chinese students expressed their sincere gratitude to Lobachevsky University and its faculty for the interesting classes. The administration of the Institute of Languages and Culture (International Institute) of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law expressed their willingness to develop this project next year and engage more students in the summer school.
