"Learning Pushkin's language": Lobachevsky University conducted classes for Latin America
On the Day of the Russian Language, June 6, the festival "Pushkin Week in Latin America" was concluded with a closing ceremony. The event was organised by Lobachevsky University in collaboration with the Latin American-Russian Association (ALAR).
As part of the festival, UNN teachers delivered open online classes on Russian as a foreign language titled "Learning the Language of Alexander Pushkin", a lecture on "Alexander Pushkin's Fairy Tales," a conversation club "Reading Alexander Pushkin Together," and a virtual tour of the State Literary, Memorial, and Natural Museum-Reserve of Alexander Pushkin in Boldino. The programme also featured the creative competition "My Pushkin".
Taking part in the project were more than 200 participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Honduras, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, El Salvador, Uruguay, Chile, and Ecuador. The festival's events sparked genuine interest among the audience in the personality and work of the great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin, as well as in the Russian language and culture in general. This project is expected to become an annual event.
