Lecture on design for students of the Institute of Innovative Professions

An open online lecture "Design as an Industry" for Kyrgyz students and professors was delivered on 12 February  within the framework of network cooperation between Lobachevsky University and the Institute of Innovative Professions (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). The lecture was organized with the support of the UNN International Cooperation Office.

Elena Shlienkova, Acting Dean of the UNN Higher School of Arts and Design, and Alexander Uvarov, member of the National Academy of Design, industrial and ecodesigner (Moscow), told the students of the partner university about the modern design industry.

The lecture coincided with the launch of the LobachevskyLAB in Bishkek, which is a joint educational space of Lobachevsky University and the Institute of Innovative Professions. More than 60 students and professors of the partner university attended the lecture.

Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, made welcoming remarks to the participants of the event. He noted that this lecture is an important starting point in the context of the LobachevskyLAB opening at the Institute of Innovative Professions. It demonstrates the broad educational opportunities of Lobachevsky University as a classical university and of its Higher School of Arts and Design, which opened in 2022.

The lecture aroused great interest among the students and colleagues from Bishkek, who expressed the hope that such events will become a regular feature of the joint educational space LobachevskyLAB.
