Literary evening for international students at UNN Friendship House

A literary evening was held at the Friendship House of Lobachevsky University to celebrate World Poetry Day. Amid a cozy atmosphere, UNN international students recited poems by world famous authors in Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian and English, and also presented their own poems.

World Poetry Day is celebrated in March every year. It was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1999 with the mission of “promoting linguistic diversity via poetry expression and expanding the possibility for endangered languages to be heard.“
