Lobachevsky University employees together with their colleagues from the National Erasmus+ Office in Russia, acting on behalf of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA, Brussels), took part in cluster monitoring of Tempus and Erasmus+ projects in engineering education that was carried out from August to December 2018.

The monitoring data have confirmed the success of projects and the significant impact of their results on the internationalization and modernization of engineering education in Russia. Contributing factors to this success were the high motivation and effective work of project teams, as well as support in project implementation provided by the university management.

The monitoring has confirmed that international projects contribute to quality employment of university graduates and their career development. By participating in such projects, universities update the approaches to teaching and learning, introduce new programs and improve courses, create new laboratories and centers, and modernize their own organizational structures. International cooperation areas are also expanding: the number of foreign language courses and academic mobility programs is growing year to year.
