Lobachevsky University and the T1 holding company have signed a cooperation agreement at the CIPR conference that envisages joint educational projects for practical training of students. As part of the cooperation, T1 experts will participate in curriculum design at UNN, they will also deliver lectures and master classes, and provide career counselling to students.

“Partnership with such a major IT holding as T1 opens up new opportunities for our students and teachers. Lobachevsky University and T1 are already actively cooperating within the TOP-IT project. This contributes to the enrichment of our educational programmes, including through the involvement of leading industry specialists in the educational process. It will help UNN to prepare graduates with competencies that are in maximum demand in the labour market and meet the high standards of the digital economy,” pointed out Oleg Trofimov, Rector of Lobachevsky University.

Particular attention will be given to the integration of advanced IT solutions into the educational process. UNN students will have an opportunity to work on their projects in the university-based business accelerator.

“We fully understand the importance of the practical component in the educational process. That is why it is so important to enter into an agreement between UNN and the T1 holding company in order to develop engineering IT education and train personnel for high-tech industries. More than ten key areas for further joint work have been identified at the moment,” said Nikolai Zolotykh, Director of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.

The university has also established an annual “T1 Day”, which will serve as a platform for students to learn about the company's activities. They will also have an opportunity to solve practical problems at a hackathon.
