Within the framework of the 5-100 Project, Lobachevsky University took part in the joint exhibit of Russia’s leading universities participating in the 5-100 Project at the international educational exhibition-conference NAFSA, one of the largest and most significant world forums on global education. The exhibition was held in Los Angeles from May 29 to June 2, 2017.  Russian higher education was represented at the joint national stand in the Study in Russia format by 15 universities participating in the 5-100 Project.  The Russian delegation to the NAFSA 2017 Conference & Expo was led by L.M. Ogorodova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. 

The focus of the forum was on the development of cooperation in the field of international education, including such aspects as joint educational programs, student and academic mobility,  and double degree programs. Lobachevsky University was represented at the event by A.B. Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. The UNN stand was visited by more than 200 representatives of higher education institutions and organizations working in the field of international higher education from around the world. Talks on cooperation were held with existing and prospective partners from Japan, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Argentina, and the United States. In the course of the meetings, such issues as joint educational programs, exchange of students and teaching staff members, joint participation in international scientific and educational projects were discussed. It was agreed with the heads of several universities that inter-university agreements on cooperation would be signed.
